Astrophysics Strategic Mission Concepts
Pre-Proposal Workshop

The Astrophysics Division of the NASA Science Mission Directorate is soliciting concept studies for strategic space flight science missions that may be carried out in the next decade or for which technology development funding is sought in the next decade. Proposers are encouraged to partner with a NASA Center to provide overall study management, prior to submission of the proposal.

To assist potential proposers, two identical workshops were held, in College Park, MD, October 4-5; and in Pasadena, CA, October 9-10, 2007. The first day was presentations of the capabilities and support to be provided by ARC, GSFC, JPL, and MSFC, and the second day was to further discussions of partnering. The first day activities were at the hotel. The second day activities were devoted to partnering discussions at locations that were arranged in advance or on the first day.
