Request A Training Waiver

We offer Afterschool Universe training workshops to prepare facilitators to run the program in their local communities. These two-day events provide background information, hands-on experience with the program's activities, guidance on implementation, and the opportunity to interact with NASA program staff and other attendees. We have found that these trainings vastly increase facilitators' comfort, confidence, and preparation for running the program.

We would prefer that all facilitators attend a training workshop before implementation of Afterschool Universe. However, we will waive the training requirement under special circumstances. Please use the form below to request a waiver. Once we review your information, we will contact you to discuss your request.

Please note: If you are planning to train afterschool program leaders to run Afterschool Universe, we will not grant a waiver. All trainers must attend our workshop.
